TESDA will send the scholars’ training allowance via GCash

  TAGUIG CITY – Scholars of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) will now have a convenient way of receiving their training allowance after the agency signs agreement with the top mobile wallet in the country. TESDA’s adoption of GCash is seen as a move by the agency to achieve efficiency during the pandemic as Training Support Fund distribution will be remitted digitally, saving its scholars the trouble of going to field offices to receive allowances. This also allows for contactless transactions, mitigating the impact of COVID-19 on its scholars amid the ongoing implementation of different quarantine protocols. NEWS: TESDA rolls out new guidelines for enterprise-based training

  TAGUIG CITY — A new set of regulations has been released for technical-vocational education and training (TVET) providers offering enterprise-based training (EBT), in response to the disruptions and hazards brought about by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). This after Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Secretary Isidro Lapeña signed TESDA Circular No. 80 series of 2020, or the “Enterprise-Based Training (EBT) Guidelines Under the New Normal Environment” which imposes the observation of necessary measures and protocols to keep the safety of learners and trainers. The circular covers the Dual Training System (DTS)/Dualized Training Program (DTP), Supervised Industry Learning (SIL), Apprenticeship, Learnership, Program on Accelerating Farm School Establishment (PAFSE), and In-Company or on-site training arrangements, including other industry-based training programs.
